Kara Klenk is a stand up comic, improviser, and actor based in New York City. She grew up the eldest of six children in suburban Connecticut, overcoming adversity by not becoming a doctor, a lawyer, or a lady who lunches.
Kara has appeared on SpikeTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, The Food Network, The TVGuide Network, Current TV, and Biography. She's been featured in videos on Comedy Central's Atom.com, Jest.com, Adult Swim's ThingX.tv, and MTV.com.
She has performed at clubs, colleges, and alternative venues all over the country including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, San Diego, Atlanta, and Austin. In 2012 she performed on a tour of Kuwait to entertain US troops. In 2013 she headlined the famed Caroline's on Broadway as part of their Breakout Artists Series. She also produces/hosts a long-running stand up showcase, If You Build It, at the UCB East in NYC.
Kara earned her BA in Theater and English: Creative Writing from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
